Wildfire: Badgers @ Inferno

A scorching May Sunday afternoon (and evening) resulted in two hard earned wins for Bracknell Inferno over the Bristol Badgers after some long games.

Game 1: Both teams brought the bats with the score at 8-6 going into the bottom of the 7th inning, with Pujols dialed in on the more for almost 6 full innings. Despite being down Bracknell are never out, and dashed infield single by Ford-Lane began a rally which tied the game at 8-8 and took it into extra innings. Both sides continued to score each time up with the game all tied at 13-13 after 9 innings. Eventually, in the top of the 10th, Bracknell shut down Bristol's offence, a couple defensive mistakes by the Badgers and a ball in play by Milano was all it took to drive in Prescott for the winning run.

A great win, with the 10 inning workload burdened by four different Bracknell pitchers.

Game 2: With Inferno riding high from the extra innin win, even a 3-run home run for the Badgers in the first inning didn't shake Inferno's resolve. Three stolen bases by Taylor and doubles from Kabuzenko, Kaneki and Milano helped Bracknell score a comfortable 8 runs on their way to an 8-6 victory. Huxley and Collins comfortably pitched their way to a win and save respectively.

The fire must keep burning next weekend and Bristol return once again to Westmorland out for revenge 🔥

I have no skin left on my leg, and I found a tick embedded in me when I got home.
